Foyle Hospice provides bereavement support to children and adults in the northern sector of the Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT), who may be finding it difficult during their bereavement journey.
Children & Young Person's support service (4-16 Years)
Healing Hearts provides specialist bereavement support for any child or young person, aged 4-16 years, who have experienced a loved one receiving the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness or death of someone close to them regardless of the cause.
How do I access this service?
Once an assessment has been carried out we will be able to plan the appropriate service to suit the individual needs of the child/young person who has been referred. This may include:

On receipt of the referral we will contact the family and arrange an assessment meeting so we can decide on the best way to help the child/young person.

Forget Me Not
Adult Bereavement Support
The loss of someone we love is one of the most intensely painful experiences any person can suffer. Not only is it painful to experience, but also distressing to witness.
Foyle Hospice provides bereavement support to adults who may be finding it difficult during their bereavement journey. The Forget- Me- Not bereavement support group meets twice a year, usually February/ March and October/ November, one evening a week and provides a six week program which can be a great source of support and encouragement at a very difficult time in your life.
Bereaved relatives will receive an invitation to this support group approximately four weeks before the date of commencement and it is usually offered to relatives who have received Hospice care from any of our services to includes, Inpatient, Day Hospice or Specialist Community Palliative Care Team.
