A share of your estate
Once you have provided for family and friends, you can leave all or a percentage of what remains to Foyle Hospice. This is called a residuary gift. Because it is a share, it keeps its value as prices rise.
Making every day count, for years to come.
A gift in your will is a loving act of kindness that lives on. Whatever its size, it will help care for patients and their families in our community when they need it most.

At Foyle Hospice we believe in making every day count. A gift in your will helps us do that for patients and families long into the future.
Making or updating a will is easier than many people think, and it is the only way to make sure your wishes are carried out. You do not need to be wealthy to make a difference. A share of your estate, or a fixed amount of money, will help patients and their families when they need care most.
Every Foyle Hospice service is free to the people we care for. Gifts from our community, including gifts in wills, are a big part of what keeps it that way.
We would only ever ask you to consider a gift to Foyle Hospice once you have looked after the people who matter most to you. Whatever you decide, thank you for thinking of us.

Please give these details to your solicitor, so that your gift is made to Foyle Hospice.
Gifts to charities in your will are normally free from Inheritance Tax, so the full value of your gift reaches Foyle Hospice. If you leave 10% or more of your net estate to charity, the Inheritance Tax rate on the rest of your estate may also be reduced.
Tax rules can change and depend on your circumstances. Your solicitor or financial adviser can explain how they apply to you. Foyle Hospice cannot give legal or financial advice.
If you are thinking about leaving a gift, or would simply like more information, Kathleen will be glad to talk. There is no obligation, and no question is too small.
