Jennifer Maloney

Trustee

Jennifer Maloney (nee Doherty), who is originally from Derry’s Waterside, joined the board of trustees in December 2020.
Now a newspaper production journalist, she has over 25 years’ experience in the Northern Ireland media working with across all the leading newspaper titles – The Derry Journal, The Belfast Telegraph, The News Letter, The Irish News and The Northern Ireland Daily Mirror.
Jennifer also worked as a senior media officer with a national UK charity and was involved in a number of high-profile media campaigns as well as managing social media accounts.
She decided to apply to become a trustee in memory of her father Arnold Doherty, who died at the Foyle Hospice from motor neurone disease (MND) in April 2014. She also volunteers her time to honour other close family members who have also benefitted from the care and expertise of the hospice. Prior to joining the board of trustees, she helped the work of the hospice through fundraising and communications support.
