Care that our community makes possible
Without the support of people in the North West and beyond, Foyle Hospice would not be here today.
Generous donors, community fundraisers and volunteers helped build Foyle Hospice, and they allow us to keep providing specialist palliative care to patients and their families across the Western Trust area. Most of our funding comes from people like you, through donations and events every year. That is why fundraising matters so much, and why we will always need your help.

Give your time
Volunteer with us
Volunteers are part of everything we do, from a cup of tea in the evening to the gardens, the shops and our events.
Anyone aged 16 or over can volunteer. You do not usually need experience, and every volunteer has an induction and training. Many people tell us they gain new friends and new skills along the way.

Weekly Draw
For £1 a week, you could win £1,000 while helping your local hospice all year round. You can also gift a membership to someone.
In memory
Remember someone special by dedicating a flower in the In Memory Meadow.
Giving in celebration
A wedding, birthday, anniversary or other milestone can help local people with a life-limiting illness, including through our wedding favours.
Leave a gift in your will
You do not need to be wealthy to help. A share of your estate, or a fixed sum, can care for patients and families in the years ahead.

Buy cards, gifts and more online. Every purchase supports hospice care.

Things people often ask
How old do I need to be to volunteer?
You need to be 16 or over. You do not usually need experience, and every volunteer has an induction and training.
Can I organise my own fundraising event?
Yes. Almost any event can become a fundraiser. Contact the fundraising team on 028 7135 9888 or fundraising@foylehospice.com and we can help publicise it.
Can I volunteer if I have been bereaved?
Yes. People who have been bereaved can still volunteer, and can also use our adult bereavement support.
What can I donate to the charity shops?
Quality furniture, beds, sofas and dining sets, and new and gently used clothing and footwear are always welcome.
How can my workplace get involved?
Through corporate volunteering, sponsorship, Donate as you earn, Charity of the Year, your own event or the Weekly Draw. See our corporate support page.
