There are no wrong answers. Choose what feels right for where you are today.
This is not medical or clinical advice. It is a tool to help you think and talk.
If you need support right now, contact
Foyle Hospice
or Hospice UK Dying Matters,
or speak with your GP or healthcare team.
This tool does not provide medical advice.
There is no right time. These conversations can feel big. Here are a few calm places to begin when you are ready.
We designed this tool with your privacy in mind. Here is exactly what happens when you use it.
Anonymous answer choices. When you pick one of the answer options, we record which option was chosen so we can show percentages like “38% of people chose the same as you.” We keep the question number, the option number, and the route you selected at the start. We do not keep your name, your identity, or anything you typed.
Anonymous visit counts. We use GoatCounter, a privacy-respecting analytics service, to count how many people use the tool. It does not use cookies and cannot identify you.
A one-way hash of your IP address, kept for up to 24 hours, to prevent automated misuse. This is automatically deleted. Your raw IP address is never stored.
If you have “Do Not Track” enabled in your browser, nothing is sent to our servers at all — not your answers, not the visit count, nothing. You can still use the tool as normal.
