Foyle Hospice requires a Community Nurse in Palliative Care to deliver expert end of life care to those with complex palliative/end of life needs in their own homes and care homes.
We are seeking a nurse with excellent clinical and communication skills who is empowering and compassionate in his/her approach to join our community team. The successful applicant will work proactively and responsively enabling the individual’s needs to be identified and addressed and their goals facilitated.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must be registered as Adult part 1 on the live NMC register and have undertaken a post–registration course or hold a qualification in Cancer /Palliative care or relevant subject. They must have 3 years of relevant post-registration experience at band 5 or above in Cancer, Palliative Care or the relevant speciality.
Applicants must be willing to undertake their Specialist Practice in Palliative Care and the non-medical prescribing course.
A valid full UK driving licence is essential.
A waiting list will be created for any similar permanent or temporary posts which may arise within the next year.
