2015 - Celebrating 30years of Hospice Care

Trustees, staff and patients, both past and present, gathered at Foyle Hospice to launch a year of 30th Anniversary celebrations!!
This marks the beginning of numerous events that will take place over the next year, which will aim to recognise the importance of those services provided by Foyle Hospice to the community across the North West.

Our Home Care service was established in 1985 with two nurses. In thirty years, this has grown to six nurses, each of whom visit approximately thirty patients per week. The subsequent development of an In Patient Unit in 1991 and Day Hospice services in 2002 have resulted in invaluable specialist palliative care for patients, as well as support for their families and loved ones. The Adult Forget Me Not and Children’s Healing Hearts Bereavement Support Groups also cater for many adults and children respectively.

Foyle Hospice continues to rely on the good will and generosity of the local community. We would like to thank you all for you continued support.

We look forward to a year of celebration and events!
