Male Walk/Run 2026 is back — ’Mon lads! Let’s go.

Foyle Hospice is calling on men of all ages from across the North West to get together on Sunday 27 September 2026 for our much-loved Male Walk/Run.

Whether you walk it, jog it or run it, this is a chance to round up your mates, your da, your brothers, your sons, your workmates or your club and join us for a great morning in support of your local hospice.

The event starts at 11:30am from Sainsbury’s, Strand Road, Derry~Londonderry, before following an approximately 5K flat, family-friendly route and finishing back at Sainsbury’s.

The Male Walk/Run has become one of the highlights of the Foyle Hospice fundraising calendar, bringing men together for some fresh air, good craic and a brilliant local cause.

You do not need to be a runner. Take it at your own pace, enjoy the atmosphere and cross the finish line knowing that every step is helping Foyle Hospice continue providing specialist care and support to local patients and families.

Men of all ages are welcome to take part. Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a designated adult at all times.

Everyone who registers will also receive a specially designed Male Walk/Run event T-shirt to keep.

Why your support matters

Every registration and every pound raised through the Male Walk/Run helps Foyle Hospice provide specialist palliative care and counselling services, free of charge, to patients and families across our community.

Less than 35% of our income comes from government sources, which means fundraising events like this play an essential role in helping us meet the day-to-day costs of providing hospice care.

Your support helps ensure our teams can continue to be there for local families when they need us most.

For some, the Male Walk/Run is simply a chance to enjoy a morning out with friends or family. For others, it is an opportunity to remember someone special, support a loved one or say thank you for care received from Foyle Hospice.

Whatever brings you to the start line, you will be part of a community coming together for the same purpose.

Sign up online through our registration page or call into the Foyle Hospice Fundraising Centre, 61 Culmore Road, Derry~Londonderry.

Once you have registered, get your crew together too. Ask your mates, family, colleagues, teammates or neighbours to join you and help us make this year’s Male Walk/Run one to remember.

You can walk, jog or run — the important thing is getting involved.
