Why do we constantly need to fundraise?

It currently costs £2.2 million a year to run the Hospice, maintaining the excellence of care we provide for our patients and their families and the standard of our buildings and facilities.

Less than 25% of our income is provided by the local government. This means that the remainder of our costs - some £1.76 million - have to be raised through the generosity of our local community.

Every year our Fundraising Department has the mammoth task of organising a programme of events and campaigns to help bridge the funding fap.  To see how you can get involved please our Events Diary.
